Three and a Half Acres Yoga (THAY) empowers communities by using the physical and philosophical facets of yoga traditions to nurture, heal, and activate residents. Originating in Harlem, THAY is committed to communities of color and/or those living on moderate incomes, as well as the people who lead and govern these populations. For the past two years, Three and a Half Acres has successfully brought yoga and wellness services to Harlem youth and elders, and to our local law enforcement focusing on LGBTQ young adults and on those with minimal income. In 2017, they plan to expand their reach to bring classes to Justice Corps and into the Grant & Manhattanville housing projects.
